Update in Birthplace City values containing Ethnicity Values

A defect has been reported where the Birthplace city for a student is getting replaced with a value from the Local Ethnicity field when updates are made to a student.  This is being caused by an issue with Chrome autofill being turned on in settings in Chrome.  It is normal to have this setting turned on for a user's personal information.  When addresses are saved, it updates them to Address Management, however, autofill is saving the 'ethniCITY' to the first 'City' field it finds, which is Birthplace City on the screen.  We are fixing this issue so that no information from SI will be saved to address management.



Until the fix is released in 21.3, anyone who makes updates to student demographics or registers students who also use the Chrome browser should do the following to ensure the addresses they updated are saved correctly:

1.  In Chrome, click the Ellipsis in the upper right corner and select Settings.

2.  Select Autofill, then Addresses and More.

3.  Delete any addresses that have been saved where the address has an ethnicity saved as the city value.  For example:

Also, users should be mindful of this issue and when making updates, make sure the value of Birthplace City doesn't change when saving edits to Edit Student Profile screen or Registration Wizard.​
