Assessment Import for PS ELA Assessments

​ODE's Office of Assessment has published a change in how PS ELA Assessments are to be reported when the student has a score of 'N' or 'NE' on the assessments.  According to the memo, when a student scores 'NE', the assessment record should now be reported with a Score Not Reported value of 'F' and a Score of '***' and when the student's score is 'N', the Score Not Reported value should now be 'S'.  This change was not one included on the FY23 EMIS Changes.  The PS ELA Import is being updated for the new rules and will be included in the 22.2.0 release.  Please refrain from importing the PS ELA records until the new version of the import is released.

If you've already imported the assessment records for this school year, ITC staff may use the Assessment Maintenance feature to remove those records for a district.  Navigate to StudentInformation > ITC > Assessment Maintenance, and under Assessment enter Early Learning Assessment; under Test Date select the date that is listed on the PS ELA assessments for the current year.  Click Delete Results and it will provide the number of assessments that will be removed (this number may seem high, but each student has 10 areas for this assessment).  Click Delete Results again, and it will give you the option to delete.  Click Delete and the assessments will be removed.

The end of the reporting window for these PS ELA assessments is March 31, 2023, and the new release is expected prior to that time.  Once your ITC applies the new release, districts should reload the import file(s) so that the data is correct for reporting.
