Updates to Derive Reading Diagnostic Result Report (LTRC-001)
As of reports released on June 19, several updates have been made to the Reading Diagnostic Level 2 report. The part of the process that identifies which assessment to use for a student has been enhanced to make sure that it always pulls the appropriate Assessment Record (reading diagnostic or KRA) for each student.
As a result of these changes, approximately 7,500 students statewide are now appearing with an assessment to evaluate (on track/AO or not on track/NO) instead of as not being assessed (RN). An additional 15,000 students statewide who were previously appearing as not on track (NO) are now showing as not assessed (RN). Once the assessment subject code for these students is updated, they will begin to show as on track (AO) or not on track (NO).
There are 2 remaining issues that will be addressed in the next few weeks.

  *   Some students who were appearing as not on track (NO) previously will now show as not assessed (RN). Approximately 1,600 students statewide show this change because the date reported on their Assessment Record is not a date on which they were enrolled in the district. We are making a change to handle this scenario so that these students will be evaluated and show as either NO or AO on the report.
  *   Some students who rely on the KRA for their evaluation were appearing as not on track (NO) previously and will now show as not assessed (RN). These are students where the KRA was taken in another district or school, and then transferred to another LEA. In some cross-district situations, the assessment is no longer found. We are making a change to handle this scenario so that these students will be evaluated and show as either NO or AO on the report.

Please review your reports for these issues and make updates to your reporting as needed.
