Please see the below information regarding a recent update for the Tier 1 Dyslexia Screener section of the EMIS Alliance WAML Presentation, plus additional information regarding this topic that might be helpful to your customers.

EMIS Alliance: Working Missing Assessment List Update for Slide #49

Please update your notes section of slide #49 to match the below information.

Additional Information:

Kindergarten (FY24) students are not being assessed until the Fall 24-25 School Year

Kindergarten students who are not being assessed until the Fall of the new school year (2024-2025), will appear on the missing list for the FY24 Tier 1 Dyslexia Screener.  In this situation, the district will ignore the students appearing on the missing list.  DO NOT create a missing test record with a score not reported reason.

For further clarification please refer to the DEW helpdesk ticket # 00202325.

Summer Withdrawal Students

Summer withdrawal students have been appearing on the Dyslexia missing list. DEW is working on the issue and an EMIS Newsflash should be sent out once the issue has been corrected.  Districts should ignore these students on their report and DO NOT report a score not reported reason for them, just to remove them from the missing list.
