Good Morning!

It is hard to believe that it is August already.

I wanted to send out an email making you all aware from the ODEW EMIS-ITC Call notes from 7/7/25 that there is a change to the budget in regards to the economically disadvantaged funding...

Another change that was added to the final version of the Budget was FY26 Economically Disadvantaged (DPIA) funding, which is based on 75% of LEAs' FY25 FTE. Once that data is finalized in a few weeks, it will account for 75% of the DPIA funding for FY26. 25% of that funding will be based on the FTE of students who are directly certified, which will come through the CNDC application. Due to this, it is crucial for districts to submit their Student Cross Reference (SCR) Collection and, ideally, their Contact(s) Collection for use in the CNDC application before the first day of school. Since ODEW is calculating an FTE of Direct Certification, it matters on what date a student is actually directly certified. If a district waits until three weeks into the school year to submit their SCR Collection, their students will not be eligible for Direct Certification for those three weeks, which is the only data ODEW uses for calculating FTE for the DPIA payment, which means the 25% factor, based on Direct Certification, those students are not going to generate a full FTE for the year. Therefore, this will now impact districts' regular funding, not just their free and reduced-price eligibility for students within their meal service program. The Contact(s) Collection will enhance the automatic match rate, which will, in turn, lead to a higher funding level for the state DPIA payments

Another reminder is that you may want to go in and make sure that your District Trusts are up to date..... MVECA has added several new districts...

StudentInformation>Management>District Administration>District Trusts

You can click on the green button to Add District Trust and then select the district from the dropdown box

Please let me know if you have any questions,
Angie
