Public comment window closes Dec. 8
Stakeholders who serve or have a connection to students with disabilities are encouraged to provide input on Ohio’s targets for federal special education indicators.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) established a series of special education “indicators” to measure services and results for students with disabilities. The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (the Department) is engaging stakeholders to set new targets for one of these special education indicators based on new baselines:

  *   Postschool Outcomes (Indicator 14): The 2024–2025 Special Education Profile establishes a new baseline for Indicator 14 following changes in data collection. As a result, the department will need to set new targets due to updated data collection methods.

The Department is requesting public comment on the proposed targets.
