Open Registration for 2025-2026
High School Mathematics Pathways
Algebra 2 equivalent courses have been developed in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, the Ohio Department of Higher Education and the Ohio Math Initiative that will satisfy the credit requirement for Algebra 2. Ohio's statewide network of ESCs provides ongoing coordination, implementation and monitoring of the courses through teacher and administrator training, onsite coaching, and communities of practice.
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce in partnership with the Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OESCA)<https://links-1.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.oesca.org%2Fprojects%2Fmath-pathways/1/01000195049a57e0-95bcb39b-0d0a-4444-aef6-4e0a72ca523a-000000/lKIqMbc7ysE5dpebe3RInebMRt4xdlndCj9arTPFPcs=392> is expanding the High School Mathematics Pathways Initiative to support more districts for the 2025-2026 school year. The registration window is open. Each of these courses can be offered by traditional school districts, community schools, non-public high schools, Career Technical Centers and Joint Vocational School districts, and designated STEM schools. Credit earned in these courses counts toward a student’s third or fourth unit of mathematics and can be used to satisfy the Algebra 2 equivalent credit requirement for graduation.
Schools interested in receiving support from the Department and OESCA with their implementation of Advanced Quantitative Reasoning (also known as Mathematical Modeling and Reasoning or MMR), Data Science Foundations, and/or Discrete Mathematics/Computer Science can complete the registration form online and learn more.
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year cohorts is now open. Districts interested in receiving support from the Department and OESCA with their implementation of Advanced Quantitative Reasoning (also known as Mathematical Modeling and Reasoning or MMR), Data Science Foundations, and/or Discrete Mathematics/Computer can complete the registration form online for the course(s) they want support with.
Schools that wish to participate in one or more of the Algebra 2 equivalent cohorts beginning the 2025-2026 school year.
COMPLETE ONE FORM FOR EACH SCHOOL IF:
* The school is offering this Algebra 2 equivalent course for the first time in 2025-2026.
* The school offered this Algebra 2 equivalent course for the first time in 2024-25*.
* The school has offered this Algebra 2 equivalent course previously, but the course will be taught by a teacher new to the course who has not completed training.
