Hello.

I wanted to attach the May 2025 EMIS Webinar so you guys can see it.

I want to address a couple of items in the attachment.....

  1.  Updates to Expulsion Reporting slides 5-8

Districts can now follow the breadcrumb trail on slide 5 and enter the Action Code of 8; if you enter it in 2024-2025 make sure that you enter it for 2025-2026 as well

IF your district does not need to use this action code for 2024/2025 you will only enter it in 2025/2026

IF your district adopted the board policy and you used this discipline code in 2024/2025 you may now enter it but please remember it has to be entered AFTER April 8, 2025

  1.  ALT OELPA - slides 10-14

I sent out an email on May 13th with this information and the work around does work; if you need help please let me know

  1.  EMIS IDs - slides 19-23

DEW is encouraging ALL Districts to get away from using all numbers for their EMIS IDs.  MVECA has several districts that are still using all numbers and some of you have let me know that you want to make the switch.  I need to know by July 20th who is wanting to switch over and IF you want to switch over I will need to know what Alpha Character you want to use and the 8 numeric value that you want to start with.  I also need to know if you want to go back in the prior years and update the EMIS IDs as well (it is highly recommended that you do this).

IF you make the switch with the EMIS IDs you will want to make sure that you are watching any re-enrolled student and updating their EMIS ID as well when they re-enroll with you.
