FY26 EMIS Changes Open for Public Comment

Ohio Law<https://links-1.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fcodes.ohio.gov%2Fohio-revised-code%2Fsection-3301.0730/1/010001995758436e-d92468bb-76ee-4052-9684-7d3d3484a09e-000000/Yxr-GxPqCqJ7tYvyweNkaY8zBGm1bpkEtEQDZfx8DFA=423> requires EMIS to create a process by which users of the system can review and provide public comment on new or updated EMIS Guidelines. EMIS changes that are subject to this process must be posted on the website<https://links-1.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Feducation.ohio.gov%2FTopics%2FData%2FEMIS%2FEMIS-Documentation%2FEMIS-Changes%2FFiscal-Year-2026-Changes/1/010001995758436e-d92468bb-76ee-4052-9684-7d3d3484a09e-000000/6-N6OmKrqfCuJaJ-JlrHsD16QvdDm-tZ5SpeMIXk5rk=423> for 30 days for public comment, up to 30 days for the Department's response to comments, and then another 30 days for public review before changes are considered “final”.
Now Open for Public Comment
The public comment period for the following changes closes at the end of the day on October 14. Please see the webpage at the above link for complete details.

  *   26-103  Adds program code to exempt from FIN credit
  *   26-107  Adds collection of CLEP scores
  *   26-115  Expulsion Extension Reporting
  *   26-119  Updates to absence intervention reporting

Data Summary Comparison Reports

Several new result codes have been added to the (DTCS-xxx) Data Summary Comparison Reports. These new result codes compare FTE from last year (FY25) to this year (FY26) in several different categories. EMIS Training Video–Districts and Schools Final Correction Opportunities
