2026-2027 Request for Applications for Core Curriculum and Instructional Materials and Reading Intervention Programs
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is currently accepting applications for updates to the approved list of high-quality instructional materials and core curriculum in English language arts for prekindergarten through grade 5. Applications are also being accepted for evidence-based reading intervention programs in prekindergarten through grade 12.

Please note that the review processes for high-quality instructional materials and core curriculum in English language arts and evidence-based reading intervention programs are running concurrently. Interested applicants may submit the Intent to Apply by Tuesday, Sept. 1 and submit their applications by Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The Department will host informational webinars that will guide participants through  the 2026-2027 Request for Applications (RFA), including requirements, review pathways, and critical updates aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards and the Science of Reading.
