ReadOhio Coaching Credential
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, in his 2026 State of the State, directed the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to offer a free ReadOhio Coaching Credential to literacy coaches employed in districts and community schools.
The Department will work with the existing Educational Service Centers contracted for current ReadOhio coaching as partners to deploy activities. Included in this program is support for building principals to ensure that instructional leaders can monitor and support effective literacy implementation across all classrooms and grade levels.
