FY27 EMIS Changes Open for Public Comment
Ohio Law<https://links-1.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fcodes.ohio.gov%2Fohio-revised-code%2Fsection-3301.0730/1/0100019e1bd9ebcb-a3b0aea0-f9f9-4a03-b168-6d005ddd5d39-000000/X9NGdHMcGHt7I-FxXZfDCCOdgfjUeQgq3lF19VIjLO8=452> requires EMIS to create a process by which users of the system can review and provide public comment on new or updated EMIS Guidelines. EMIS changes that are subject to this process must be posted on the website<https://links-1.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Feducation.ohio.gov%2FTopics%2FData%2FEMIS%2FEMIS-Documentation%2FEMIS-Changes%2FFiscal-Year-2027-Changes/1/0100019e1bd9ebcb-a3b0aea0-f9f9-4a03-b168-6d005ddd5d39-000000/fh8oez9A9TRIGCcLmrZXrUMrfXVxsezDZxy8XQD_KEc=452> for 30 days for public comment, 30 days for the Department's response to comments, and then another 30 days for public review before changes are considered “final”.

The public comment period for the following changes closes at the end of the day on June 9. Please see the webpage at the above link for complete details.

  *   27-5 Removes special ECE grant related reporting
  *   27-19 Adds math diagnostics reporting
  *   27-21 CTE Assessment Matrix changes
  *   27-33 Industry recognized cred changes
  *   27-78     Removes Dyslexia Screener option

EMIS General Training – June 2026
The next EMIS General Training has been scheduled for June. Dates and times for these sessions are as follows.

  *   Thursday, June 4, 2026, 1-3 p.m.
  *   Friday, June 5, 2026, 9-11 a.m.
  *   Monday, June 8, 2026, 1-3 p.m.
  *   Wednesday, June 10, 2026, 9-11 a.m.

Prior registration is not required.
