<p class="MsoNormal">For districts who had approved online days you can ONLY report 3 for your calendar…..I misunderstood this during the call (Sorry Natalie Willey)<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">For those 3 days you will keep the master calendar as a school day and then on your calendar bulk exception you will report state reporting exceptions as:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Calamity Day – 0.00<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Online Day – (your instructional hours for the online day)<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Click the Add/Update Radio Button<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Select your days and your calendars and save.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">If you have kids do more than 3 online days you will need to make the master calendar a snow day and report like you normally would so the hours are correct on your calendar.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">Now some good news for some of you:</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Remember that ORC 3317.01 allows for seniors to be excused from attendance for up to the equivalent of 3 school days…. What does this mean?<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Minimum hours are 1001 so if your Senior calendar is reporting 6.5 hours a day that means that you can take the total for 3 days (19.5) and subtract that from the 1001 and your senior calendars only need to have 981.5 hours<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Also keep in mind that if you are reporting Parent teacher conference days and professional development days that you can report up to the equivalent of 2 days per type of days<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">So in my example district above if my calendar is reporting 967 hours I can add 13 hours for conference days and 13 hours for PD days (as long as you are reporting them) and now my hours are at 993 and that is above the minimum of 981.5
so my Seniors are good.<o:p></o:p></p>
