<span style="color:#0098D3">The Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Patient Safety Bundles.</span></a> These AIM<strong><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"> </span></strong>patient safety bundles<strong><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"> </span></strong>make
childbirth safer by giving hospitals clear, proven steps to follow when complications arise. When care teams respond quickly and consistently, mothers are healthier, babies have a stronger start, and families experience fewer long‑term health challenges. These
bundles not only help prevent maternal deaths but also lower the risk of infant loss by addressing issues like unmanaged hypertension, severe bleeding, and infection.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-size:11.5pt;color:black">Across Ohio, we have implemented four AIM bundles to address severe hypertension, obstetric hemorrhage, substance use disorder, and most recently, maternal sepsis. Over the six years that Ohio has been implementing
these bundles, 89 birthing hospitals have participated. While Ohio continues to see labor and delivery units close across the state, 78 of the 82 remaining birthing hospitals have implemented at least one AIM bundle, and 97 percent are participating in two
or more. This reflects Ohio’s strong commitment to protecting mothers, strengthening families, and improving outcomes. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
