[Mail_emis] update 8/1/2016

Good afternoon,
The following was discussed this morning on the ODE EMIS call concerning the closing of the Manifests.


*       The reporting manifests scheduled to close today WILL  close at 11:59 pm. tonight.  The manifest will not be active at 12:00 am


*         Processing for all data submitted by 11:59 will begin a little after 12:00AM 8/2/2016


*         The SDC will close down, but will be back open tomorrow afternoon 8/2.  You will be able to start looking at data that you might need to appeal.  The SDC data will not be updated again this week.

*         The appeals window does open today.  If you know that something will need to be appealed, you can begin the process.

*         Whenever possible, for the appeals, ODE will reopen the manifest for districts whose appeals have been granted and you will just resubmit the new data.

*         ODE will not process Wednesday night but will process over the weekend.

*         As you file the appeal get your data updated in DASL so that you can submit the new manifest as soon as your appeal is approved.  ODE will process data Friday night and load the SDC so you will be able to see the effect of your appeal prior to the closing of the appeals window.


*         The timeline for the appeals is very short.  So be ready :)  I added the appeals dates at the bottom


*         Once the appeal window closes next week, it will be closed for good.


*         For those that file appeals on the last day there will be an extension of the appeals manifest for them to get the data in.   On the day that the appeals manifest ends, you will need to have your data in around 3:00 p.m.  NOT 11:59.  Date will be published so that you will know if plenty of time.


*         ODE will be releasing a couple manifest updates today to fix bugs, like the PHYS in the EOC manifest.  It is not required that you recollect and resubmit, but when they come out it would be a good idea to run them just to see how the missing reports look.  If you are comfortable with the manifest showing the issues in the missing reports you do not have to do anything.


*         ODE will continue to update data in the SDC and the assessment manifests to update the missing data so that you have a better idea if you need to appeal.  They will remove the alternate assessment students and the 7/8th grade students that took EOC instead of Next Gen.

*         This will go on during the appeals process so you will need to keep an eye on those manifests once they close.


*         KRA manifest should be fixed this week to correct the Date issue.
