Good evening,
The following was discussed during the EMIS call this morning.

SDC

The SDC opened this morning.  There are a few things that ODE is cleaning up concerning the Grad Rate and appeals. Value added data will not be available till a few days prior to the release of the LRC.

Retention Manifest
The Retention Manifest closes Wednesday.  This is one of last items that is included in the LRC.  If students leave over the summer, you can still report the appropriate retention data for that student.
If you have a student that did not roll over, (withdrew on the last day of school) and they are showing on the Retention manifest as a missing third grade student, you will need to bring the student back into your SIS and report the retention.  If this is an issue that you are having please contact Amber or I before you report the student.
The appeals window for Retention data will open September 1st and close at 3:00 p.m. on September 7th.  I will be contacting districts tomorrow that have not submitted their retention manifest.

3rd Grade Summer ELA

            FY17 Summer 3rd Grade ELA-Reading Assessment Reporting no Longer Required
To alleviate some of the reporting burden on districts, the department will no longer be requiring districts to report FY2017 summer English language arts (ELA) and reading assessment data via the FY17 Summer 3rd Gr ELA-Reading Collection (2017AGNSU). Because of the small scope of the summer ELA administration, the assessment vendor file provided by AIR is both a highly accurate and complete source for this data. The department will use the vendor file provided by AIR in generating district's data for the 2016 Third Grade Promotion Rate.

Districts should review for completeness and accuracy the summer 3rd grade English language arts and reading assessment data vendor files that they received from AIR. Financial

As of this morning there were 130 entities that have not submitted Financial Data.  If you have not submitted please do so ASAP.  Area Coordinators and ODE will be contacting districts that have not submitted.  This data does appear on the report card and there will not be an opportunity for an Appeal prior to the release of the LRC.

Early next week the supplemental reporting period will open for Financial Data.  Only the Miscellaneous elements such as Fed Detail, Court Proceedings and Capital Assets can be reported

If you do an appeal for financial data in late September you need to update your source system with the correct data and the manifest will reopen in early October for a very short time for you to submit changes.

FY17

Very close to opening.  All should be open this week. By all ODE is referring to the Calendar, SOES, SCR, and Community School Contacts Manifests.  Traditional districts should see their 1st reporting window open in a couple weeks.

1st data pull for Community Schools will be on data that ODE receives as of September 22nd.  Community schools will need to get their SOES and Contact information in as soon as possible after the manifests open.  SOES data should appear in ODDEX with in 24 to 48 hours after submission.

CCP

ODE is still working on data in ODDEX.  There are agreements that have been loaded in ODDEX and can be approved.  There has been deductions from districts for payments to the College IF the student has been approved by the district.  If they have not, ODE has not made a deduction and will not till the student is approved or the 45 days has expired without the district approving the student.  As of today, ODE has NOT started the 45 day window.

CTE Reports in Staff Manifest

There will NOT be an update prior to the close tomorrow.  They will be updated soon after the closing and if there are issues they can be handled during the appeals process.
