[Mail_emis] Reminder and Updated Agenda - 1 Day CTE EMIS Conference

I am out today as my daughter flew in today for our family Christmas this weekend but Teri, Lisa and I were emailed a list of those registered that I believe total a little over 200.

I have printed certificates far all and will bring those with me on Monday. I may be a little late as I have to take my daughter to airport that morning.

Good afternoon all.  The group has been working to put together the best possible agenda for the upcoming 1 Day CTE EMIS conference.  So I am attaching that updated agenda.  And also wanted to send out a reminder to let folks know that the registration will close next Friday, December 9th.  So if you have not registered but plan to attend, please do so before that time.

Also a reminder that if you cannot make the 1 day conference, we plan to tape each session separately and post to OAEP's website at a later date.

And if you know of anyone who would be interested but may not have received the previous emails or this one, please feel free to forward on to those individuals.

Once again our "loosely formed committee" will be bringing you a 1 day CTE EMIS conference.  We did have to make a location change, and I have had many phone calls and emails regarding the distance from the northeast and eastern side of the state.  We apologize for the inconvenience in advance, but we didn't have a lot of options.  Hopefully next year this can be located more centrally in Ohio once again.  But for those not able to make the trip, we plan to tape each session and post to OAEP's website for future reference. (barring unforeseen circumstances).  Please see attached map for directions.

The registration is now open. From that page you should see a link to the CTE 1 Day Conference on the right side of the page about halfway down.

You will also need to specify at the time of registration, if you intend to purchase the lunch being provided that day (see attached menu) which will be $9 paid to OAEP.  (more details below)

With the new location there are no restrictions to size of crowd or parking, so the registration will not be limited.   But we will close the registration on December 9th, end of day.  This allows us to get a lunch count to the folks preparing that.

This 1 day "workshop" is for any EMIS coordinator responsible for CTE data reporting, or CTE administrator/staff who wants to become more knowledgeable about the EMIS requirements for CTE reporting, and/or changes coming to CTE EMIS reporting.

Additional Notes: This year you will again have the option to purchase lunch which will be prepared by our hosts, Miami Valley CC.  The menu is attached and will be at a cost of $9, which must be determined at time of registration and payment made to OAEP by the deadline. Since you will be required at time of registration to signify whether you intend to purchase this lunch or not... YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO PAY FOR THE LUNCH if you marked YES during registration!!  If you do not mark YES for lunch, you will be on your own.  And make sure that if you do NOT want lunch, then you should NOT select the CTE Conference Ticket or you will be charged/marked and included in lunch counts.  There will be directions on the registration page with these details.

ALSO...OAEP will be providing water, coffee and tea service during the day for attendees.  THANK you so much OAEP for this!!
