Title:  Student Information System Software Support Specialist

Major Responsibilities:

*       Assist school district staff with reporting student information to ODE; specifically using the DASL and SunGard (eSchool Plus) reporting platforms.

*       Provide training for staff in the effective use of these software applications.

*       Troubleshoot problems related to software applications utilizing on-site, telephone, and e-mail support techniques.

*       Develop, maintain, and distribute release notes, implementation procedures and timelines in support of district staff.

*       Assist school districts in transitioning their reporting platforms as necessary.

*       Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications:

*       Experience with office and administrative software applications.

*       Working knowledge of appropriate technological equipment including Macintosh and Windows compatible computers and printers.

*       Comfortable as a trainer for both large and small group instruction.

*       Outstanding customer relations skills essential.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

*       Knowledge of operational procedures of schools.

*       Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with many individuals of varying backgrounds and to handle information professionally and confidentially.

*       Ability to engage in multiple tasks concurrently.

*       Familiarity with computer systems and ability to use associated equipment.

*       Eagerness and willingness to learn.

Additional Working Conditions:

*       Requirement to travel, both daily and overnight.

*       Occasional evening and weekend work.

*       None

Salary/Employment Terms:

*       Contingent upon experience and training.

*       Nominally a 240-day contract, but may be adjusted to fit an outstanding applicant.
