NEOnet is accepting applications for an EMIS (Educational Management Information and Student)  position. This position is responsible for ensuring that a K-12 school's data is reported to the Ohio Department of Education properly and in a timely manner. NEOnet is searching for candidates to fill an EMIS Student Software support position for the delivery of EMIS support services to educational entities associated with the NEOnet consortium. A successful candidate should be detail oriented, have strong communication and people skills, and office management skills. Knowledge in EMIS reporting is required. TITLE:  EMIS Services Support Specialist

Under the direction of the NEOnet Executive Director, the EMIS Services Support Specialist is responsible for the delivery of EMIS software support services to educational entities associated with the NEOnet consortium.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.            Maintain and enhance an understanding of the current student EMIS procedures and software and supporting SIS software.
2.            Provide rapid detection and solution to software inquiries and effective means of 'trouble-shooting' user questions, concerns and needs.
3.            Assist, plan and deliver training for users of the current EMIS software and procedures.
4.            Develop a working knowledge of current staff EMIS reporting procedures and software.
5.            Act as primary contact between school district personnel and NEOnet regarding related questions and issues.
6.            Keep users notified of changes and/or updates to the current EMIS software and procedures.
7.            Plan, write and distribute documentation as necessary to provide effective professional development, training and support for users.
8.            Perform district EMIS services as needed due to district transition.
9.            Assist in developing various software procedures as needed by NEOnet and school district personnel.
10.          Escalates and manages incidents with state support agency.
11.          Develop and fulfill user defined reports and data requests.
12.          Provide second tier software support and training to the EMIS support liaison.
13.          Membership in OAEP and attendance at statewide EMIS meetings.
14.          Perform other duties as assigned by the NEOnet Director.
