[Mail_emis] Update 3-28-2016

Good morning,
The following was discussed on the ODE call this morning.


1.      ODE has pulled the Federal Child Count data.  Please take a look at the reports that were copied out this morning.  If you see that you have major concerns about what is being reported let me know ASAP.



2.      Spring Early Learning Assessment window has closed.  If they are issues concerning data, the Office of Early Leaning will most likely contact you.


3.      OTEA will close on April 6th.



4.      There will be new updates to some of the manifest this week that will include the Final #3 payment reports that go with the Final #3 payment to districts.  If you want to begin looking at whether or not you need to do financial appeal, till the reports are in the DC you can use the FTE detail report and the adjustment report that is under the FY15 final manifest.

a.       ODE will be having a discussion this week to determine whether or not the Financial Data Appeals window will be extended since the final #3 reports are not out yet.  If they decide to extend the window, there will be a Newsflash sent.



5.      New version of the Data Collector will be tested at several ITC's this week.  ODE is hoping to have it to all ITCs by the end of this week.



6.      CCP is close to coming out.  There will be a Newsflash when it is available.  There could also be an additional Newsflash when the roles are available in OEDS.


7.      GN.0001 errors on the staff manifest-student is missing SSID - they are coming in as 000000000.  ODE hopes to have a fix for those this week.  I will be looking at all manifests and seeing if we can fix them on our end.


8.      Staff is to close on April 1st.  ODE EMIS will be meeting this week to see how the invalid cert the HQT reports look.  Possible that there could be an extension, but we are going to assume that there will not be one.  Any extension will be communicated via an EMIS Newsflash.

a.       Invalid cert reports and HQT reports come out twice a week.  Once after the Friday submission-usually on Mondays and then after the Wednesday submissions.  They are in sync with each other but....the invalid cert comes out first.  The HQT report comes as a level 2 report and you cannot tell when it has been updated and it may not update till the next day.  The only way for us to tell is for MVECA to look at the validation tables and see if they have updated.  As of now, that table has not been updated since March 24th so the HQT report is not reflecting data from the current Invalid cert report.  As soon as our table updates, I will send out an email so that you know you are looking at new data.  I am not expecting to see the change till tomorrow.
