[Mail_emis] Update 2-10-2017

Good evening,

The following was discussed on the ODE EMIS call this morning.


*         2017D March Follow-up

o   The manifest for 2017D reporting was released today.

o   There are 2 files in the Manifest under the level 2 reports.  One for reviewing  so that you can check and make sure that all your students are included. The other is the file that will be loaded into the FFE for updating.   MVECA will be loading the file into the FFE for you and we will let you know when they are loaded.  I have attached the release notes for the manifest.

o   Starting this year, all of the appeals for concentrators will happen at the beginning of the reporting, NOT the end.

o   There will be a communication that goes out that will explain the process.

o   Once the reporting has ended, the normal appeals process will begin for data other than adding concentrators.


*         FY16 Grad Appeals.

o   ODE is almost done with all the FY16 Grad appeals.  Once complete they will release new LGR reports.  They are hoping they will be out yet this week,


*         Federal Child Count

o   Final Federal Child count data will be pulled following the submissions of data on March 6th at 5:00 p.m.

o   ODE will be  moving the Federal Child Count reports to the Level 2 Reports in the Data collector.  We will have reports to copy out on Thursday of this week, and the change should happen with the new reports beginning On February 20th.  Once they are moved to the DC, they will be updated daily instead of twice a week.

o   FTE adjustments FT.0005 for Disability currently are not causing a loss of Special Education weighted funding.  Staring with the March #2 payment for Traditional Districts and the April payment for JVSDs and Community Schools, ODE will start applying the loss of funding.  It will be extremely important to get all of those errors corrected prior to the pull of data for those reports.  ODE will be pulling the data for Traditional Districts on March 13th from the March 10th submissions and for JVSDs and Community School they will pull the data the  morning of March 23rd.


*         CTE Reports

o   Data is being processed for the Feb#2 payment.  CTE reports were updated today(2/13) Save these reports as they should be the ones used for the CTE funding.
