[Mail_emis] FY18 L Staff EMIS Checklist meeting and information on an additional CI, demographic, element

Hello,

We have scheduled a FY18 L Staff EMIS Checklist review meeting and work session for November 1, 2017 at 9:00 to noon in the MVECA Training Lab 2.  The training is for users with access to staff records.  We will go over the steps to update staff demographic and employment elements and allow time for districts to work in the lab with our assistance. There is a new Staff Demographic element for fy18, Principal Experience Years.  This field will be added to the DEMSCN (and demographic in USPSWEB) in the Length of Experience section on the next release of the software (end of October).  MASCHG/MASINC will, also, be updated to increment this field each year.  The ODE EMIS Manual is not updated with reporting instructions for this new element.  We will send out the details when they are available to us.
