Good afternoon,
Below is an update from the EMIS call this morning.
If you are a district that sends your PS students to an ESC, you will need to pay close attention to the PS section in RED below.. I will be sending directions for an export from ODDEX for the scores later.
Staff
Staff Collection Closes on Thursday January 31st at 11:59 p.m. ODE is not sure that all date will be processed by Friday morning so you will most likely not have your final TLC report until Monday February 4th.
There was a question about extending the manifest since a lot of ITCs are anticipating districts being out on Wednesday and Thursday due to the cold weather and David indicated that there would NOT be an extension as there has been sufficient time to get the data in.
L2 is on schedule to open on Tuesday February 5th.
CTE data can still be updated in L2, but.... if you have a CTE staff member that is not certified at the end of L1 you will not be able to update that data in L2. L2 updates will be for funding only.
KRA
KRA is closing on Friday. There are 20 entities through the state that have not been submitted. ODE is contacting districts.
ODE believes that the updates to the missing KRA have been implemented. If you are still seeing students that you believe should not be on the missing list please let me know. ODE should have updated the missing to take out
Students that were marked as retained and still show on the lists if there were scores reported last year.
Students that enrolled from another district that were retained but you were not required to
mark them retained that have scores.
It would probably be a good idea to recollect and prepare your data to see how it looks
DORP- MAP assessment
Manifest will be updated to change the date and the name. The manifest will no longer have a Fall and Spring submission. Anytime the student tests you can report those tests to ODE. It will still have a code of FL to indicate Fall but it will be an all year collection.
PS ELA Missing lists
ODE is planning on populating the missing lists with students for enrollment.
Rules for reporting the assessments have changed.
If it is an ECE grant- the entity receiving the grant money is who reports the scores.
The Big change is
THE DOR IS THE ONE THAT NEEDS TO BE REPORTING THE ASSESSMENT FOR THE STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES ATTENDING THE ESC FOR PRE SCHOOL THE ESC CAN CONTINUE TO REPORT BUT THE DOR NEEDS TO TOO.
If the ESC has already reported the scores we can go into ODDEX and export the scores out and the will need to be entered by the DOR. I will send directions later today on how to get the information.
We, along with the other ITCs, have followed the EMIS manual guidance that the district with the lowest District Relationship reports the scores. Apparently the EMIS Manual will be updated to reflect the new guidance. You will have about 4 weeks to get the information in. There will be a Newsflash concerning this once the missing report is included in the Manifest.
ODE has automated the Career Tech Checks. Now that they have a little more time they are looking at checks that were not making sense.
One is concerning the check for CTE funding where CCP is involved. These courses should still have CTE approval to offer the courses. These would be CCP courses taught on your campus by your teachers.
If you are claiming the credit to get funding for the course-reporting the CP delivery method- you will need to report the location IRN the same as you would for any other Career tech course. You will not report the Location IRN of the College.
The plan is to update the checks on or about February 25th. This will be after Community School, JVSD and Traditional Districts data is pulled for the March Payment. That way Traditional schools will have about 2 weeks to make sure your data is correct prior to the pull for the next payment. JVSDs and Community Schools will have about 4 weeks.
There will be communication coming from CTE and the ODE Newsflash that will explain the new changes that will be coming to the CTE reports and checks.
As always please let me know if there are any questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Karen
