The Hopewell-Loudon Local School District is seeking a qualified
educational and organizational leader for the position of Superintendent.
Please refer to the attached brochure.



Experience as a Superintendent is preferred, but not necessary. The Board
is also open to considering non-traditional candidates for this position.
An Ohio Superintendent’s certificate, or evidence of ability to certify, is
required.



The Hopewell-Loudon Local School District is located in west central Seneca
County.  It is mostly rural, encompassing approximately fifty (50) square
miles.  The district borders Tiffin on the east and Fostoria on the west.
The District’s 867 students are housed in one building on a site which is
located at the edge of Bascom.  The new K-12 facility opened the 2013-2014
school year.  Open enrollment has counted for about 265 of these students.
Approximately 67 students exit the district through open enrollment and 23
attend community schools.  The district offers Career Technical Education
through Vanguard Sentinel Career & Technology Center.  College Credit Plus
courses are also offered.



The Board of Education is seeking a person who:

•          Places students first when making decisions related to the
school.

•          Seeks, promotes and expects academic excellence from students
and the teaching team.

•          Promotes and models open communication and positive
relationships with and between all school stakeholders for the betterment
of all.

•          Works with the Treasurer/CFO to operate the school in a fiscally
responsible manner while meeting the students’ academic and
extra-curricular needs, as well as facility and general operational needs
of the district.

•          Be the role model that is necessary to positively lead the
school district.

•          Is a visionary who will continue H-L’s positive vision of
excellence while upholding the district’s Mission Statement.

•          Has organizational skills to perform duties of the position in a
highly effective and competent manner.
