Our district Transportation Supervisor, Dan Grothause and one of the Auglaize County commissioners, Doug Spencer have arranged a meeting with Senator Cliff Hite to discuss transportation issues.  Please refer to Dan's email below and provide him with some feedback.

For some of use, we remember when the State once provided partial funding toward the purchase of new buses.

Any input would be appreciated.

Shawn,
If I wanted to get some feedback from Superintendents and Treasurers on what their number one school transportation concern would be do you have a group that can help me?

I was thinking Auglaize County first and then if there is a larger sampling that is possible?

I would be curious if their number one concern would be bus purchase funding or operational cost funding.

Would also be interested if they had any other concerns.

After talking with OSBA today they are thinking that if there is a meeting held in Van Wert it might beneficial to have the thoughts of several rather than a party of one.

I know for most foundation funding is a higher priority and I'm only looking at transportation funding but every little bit helps.
