The Community and the District
The Miami Valley Career and Technology Center is located in Englewood, Ohio and serves 27 area high schools from five counties covering approximately 4,000 square miles. The school districts are a mixture of rural, suburban and urban communities, so MVCTC students represent a richly diverse student population. MVCTC offers over 40 career technical programs for high school juniors and seniors, career-technical programs for students in satellite programs in grades 6-12, and lifelong learning opportunities for adults through its Adult Education programs. Working with local business and industry partners, MVCTC is helping to attract and create jobs for our region's economy. A more detailed presentation of MVCTC programs and member districts can be found at www.mvctc.com
Student Enrollment
The MVCTC serves more than 3,400 students in grades 6-12 on the main campus and in 15 satellite locations around the Miami Valley region. The district also serves more than 5,000 adults through post-secondary work force development programs, short-term programs, ABLE/GED classes, testing facilities, and business consulting services.
Buildings
The main campus consists of four large buildings enclosing more than 450,000 square feet and is situated on approximately 220 acres. In collaboration with the Ohio School Facilities Commission, the MVCTC is currently involved in the active planning process with the intent to remodel and expand the majority of the main campus' current facilities.
