The Bloomfield-Mespo Local School District is seeking a part-time
Superintendent to assume the role of the Chief Operating Officer. The
successful candidate will:

   - Serve as a skilled communicator with the Board, parents, community,
   administrative employees, teaching staff, and support personnel
   - Demonstrate interpersonal skills that will be used to promote the
   school district in the community
   - Lead the Board in developing a new and clear vision for the district
   - Create a culture of continuous improvement throughout the district
   - Effectively manage all fiscal resources on a collaborative basis with
   the Treasurer
   - Exhibit integrity and commitment to the Bloomfield-Mespo Local School
   District

The Superintendent will perform all duties natural to the position
including but not limited to:

   - Guiding the Board in the development of policies
   - Development and management of administrative guidelines
   - Interpreting Federal, State, and Local laws that apply to the district
   - Making recommendations for the hiring of personnel
   - Representing the Board in negotiations of labor contracts
   - Management of buildings and grounds
   - Act as the purchasing agent for the district
   - Coordination of transportation
   - Organization of food services

*Requirements:*
The Board of Education will consider applications from individuals who:

   - Have experience as an effective superintendent or building principal.
   - Hold an Ohio superintendent’s certificate or license (or satisfactory
   evidence of eligibility).
   - Successful BCI and FBI background check
   - Pass pre-employment drug test

*Contract and Timeline:*
The Board will issue a part-time contract for 156 days.
This timeline may be modified at the discretion of the Board.
