Parkway Local Schools Superintendent Search

The Parkway Local Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants for
the position of Superintendent. The board has identified the following
qualifications as having particular importance:

* Leadership, with proven ability to set high expectations for him/herself
and others, delegate and motivate while maintaining accountability.

* Vision Development and Implementation, with an openness for ongoing
collaboration and teamwork with the Board, administration, staff and
students.

* Articulate communication and strong interpersonal skills.

* A solid foundation in school finance, levies, and negotiations and the
ability to work well with the district Treasurer.

* Integrity, high moral standards, and a strong work ethic.

* The ability to keep the Board informed and up-to-date on district matters
and the capacity to form strong relationships based on mutual respect and
trust.

* Record of being visible and accessible to staff, students, and community.

About the District:

One of six districts in Mercer County, the Parkway Local School District is
in the northern portion of the county. It is a rural district covering
approximately 160 square miles, including the villages of Rockford, Mendon,
and Willshire. Farming and agriculturally related businesses dominate the
district’s economy. Parkway PK-12 students are educated in one building, a
240,000-square foot facility that was constructed in 2005.

Interviews Begin: April 25, 2017

Decision Rendered: May 9, 2017
