The Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington (RULH) Board of Education is pleased to
announce the following posting in its search for a new Superintendent.

The RULH Local School District is seeking qualified applicants for the
position of superintendent due to the current superintendent’s resignation
for the purpose of retirement.  The district’s mission is to prepare all
students to become productive global citizens who are career or college
ready, and challenge all students to reach their fullest academic, social,
and emotional potential.  The Board is seeking a strong leader that is
innovative and current, actively involved in the school community, is an
open-door communicator and possesses a strong knowledge of curriculum and
research-based instructional practices to support and increase student
achievement.



RULH is dedicated to providing a dynamic and rewarding educational system,
backed by a highly technological learning environment. The district
continually strives to develop curriculum and programs that effectively
meet the needs of all students and is proud of the variety of programs that
are offered for students.



The RULH Local Schools is financially solvent and maintains a balanced
budget.  The District is supported by a community of families and small
business stakeholders who supported the construction of a new Elementary
and Middle School in 2004, and more recently the passage of a 2.5 mill
Permanent Improvement Levy in 2014 that allowed the district to advance to
a one-to-one K-12 Chromebook learning environment.



The RULH Local School District has a staff of dedicated and highly skilled
teachers and administrators, and a district that is deeply rooted with a
pride in rural traditions.



Qualifications:



   - Ohio Superintendent’s license or evidence that one is obtainable.
   - Experience as a key school district administrator.
   - A record of improving student achievement.
   - Thorough knowledge of Ohio School finance and Ohio School Law.
   - Knowledge and experience in dealing with school finance campaigns.
   - Strong communication and listening skills.
   - Strong “people skills” and high moral character.
   - The ability to choose, develop, lead and motivate an effective
   management team.
   - High visibility in and a strong commitment to the community, and
   - The ability to generate trust, confidence and mutual respect in
   dealing with the Board, Staff, and Community.




Salary:       Salary will be competitive for the area and commensurate with
experience and training.  A strong fringe benefit package is also included.
