Greetings Colleagues,
In no way do we think we have it all figured out is my DISCLAIMER, however
we are very grateful that we got involved in a grant with our Mahoning
County  Juvenile Court and some neighboring districts a few years ago that
we believe helped us prepare for this legislation and the steps needed to
honor the spirit of the law.  I am attaching two documents right now for
your review:  Our Flow Chart which guides the steps we take to address
attendance and provide the requirements of the law.  Second, is the
attendance policy letter that gets sent out which essentially outlines our
attendance guidelines that are spelled out in our student handbooks for all
schools.  We have also developed some district letters, attendance
contracts, etc. to send out at the appropriate steps.  I am happy to send
any other material to colleagues if desired.  If additional information is
desired, feel free to reach out to me or my Superintendent Vince Colaluca.
