Our extended days are required to be used as as "extended days only"
outside of the teacher's regular contract. We do not consider hours worked
"here and there" to count toward their days. Trips to conventions or
professional development activities only count if they take place for a
full day outside the regular contracted days. We do our best to keep the
language tight to make the days meaningful without counting hours for so
many various possibilities.
