Good morning!
I wanted to draw your attention to the job posting below. The RemoteEDx Connectivity Champion initiative is part of a larger, $20m program to help schools deliver more effective instruction to remote learners. In order for MVECA members to reap the most benefit from this initiative, it will be important that qualified professionals are identified for these regional roles. It will undoubtedly be challenging for the MCOECN to find qualified professionals that are willing to accept positions that are only funded for one year. If you know anyone with instructional or technology experience that might be a good match, please forward this on.
Thank you,
Thor

MCOECN Seeks: RemotEDx Connectivity Champions

Application Deadline: Posting remains open until positions are filled

The Ohio Department of Education has launched the RemotEDx initiative to support and optimize remote K12 education. The Management Council of the Ohio Education Computer Network is seeking motivated individuals to help schools, districts and families across Ohio to resolve issues related to procuring, installing, and operationalizing home-school connectivity in support of remote learning, with a special emphasis on serving the adaptive and assistive needs of exceptional children. Successful candidates can be located anywhere in the state of Ohio and will work (often remotely) with Ohio's Information Technology Centers (ITCs), schools, families, and technology vendors to assure student access to K12 remote learning wherever it is implemented in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have both a strong understanding of the education space (particularly remote teaching and learning) and a strong grasp of connectivity options.

The positions are funded by a grant that is projected to be funded through the 2020/2021 school year. These positions include an excellent benefits (covered under School Employees Retirement System) package along with a salary commensurate with education, experience, responsibilities assigned and the successful candidate's potential for excellence. The anticipated salary range is $48,000 to $85,000 per year.

The position description is available on www.mcoecn.org careers site while this opportunity is open. Interested professionals should submit a cover letter and current resume to: Greg Buddelmeyer (HR at managementcouncil.org). This posting will remain open until the positions are filled.

The Management Council reserves the right to fill the positions prior to the application deadline and to not fill or to repost the position if successful candidates are not selected.
Every consideration will be given to underrepresented and nontraditional candidates. The Management Council does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), parental status, national origin, age, disability, family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or other non-merit based factors.

About the Management Council and the Ohio Education Computer Network Ohio's Information Technology Centers (ITCs) work together through a statewide network known as the Ohio Education Computer Network (OECN). The Management Council represents and supports the collaborative efforts of the OECN, which implements a broad spectrum of academic and administrative technologies across Ohio's PreK-12 education system. While the ITCs and the Management Council are the key components of the OECN, other organizations collaborate in the OECN, including the Ohio Department of Education and OARnet. Ohio district and school customers are the primary beneficiaries of the system of services and support from organizations of the OECN.
