[Mail_supt] P-EBT Updates

Superintendents,
In May MVECA and your district data people worked hard to produce a list for Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) that included the name and address and various additional information about all of your students who are eligible for free/reduced lunch; ODJFS in turn sent $302 to each of those students to account for meals they would have otherwise received had schools not been closed.  This was sent to the students regardless of whether they received alternate meals from the schools during that period or not.

Due to various challenges around that time (data being entered in the lunch program but not in the student information system, incomplete data, students who have moved recently, etc.), a few students were missed.  ODJFS is asking that we make one more effort to include every eligible student who many have been missed last time.  ODE sent you a memo about this on July 2.  At that time, they shared that you had the option of sending a spreadsheet to ODJFS with additional student names OR you could work with MVECA to provide names.  The deadline for that is July 17.  If you have already sent in your additional names to ODJFS, please let MVECA know.  If you have not, MVECA needs to work with you in the next couple of days to secure names of students who should have received this benefit, but did not.  Please have your EMIS person reach out to Karen at MVECA to make arrangements to get this data verified.
