<p class="MsoNormal">Fellow superintendents:</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">Good afternoon! I hope this email finds you all doing well after Labor Day weekend! I am emailing all of you to request your assistance in my research. My name is Robert Hlasko and I am a doctoral student at the
University of Findlay.<span> </span>Some of you might remember me from a similar request last year. I appreciate those who were able to help me facilitate the focus groups (and invite you to help again, if you can!); however, I was unable to secure a sufficient number of participants to create a valid sample size, <b>so I am asking your your assistance again (this time with a less intrusive and, most importantly, quicker survey). </b><br></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">As part of my
doctoral studies, I am conducting research on the educational mission(s) of
K-12 schools.<span> </span>I hope to learn, without
prejudice, what stakeholder groups (including parent, educators, and
legislators) believe the educational mission(s) of K-12 schools in Ohio to be
and whether or not those stakeholders believe that schools are meeting that
mission(s).<span> </span>The goal of the study is to
inform stakeholders and, specifically, future policy decisions regarding
education at a local and state level.<span> </span><b>I
am contacting you to ask you to consider distributing the following survey to
your educational staff and parents of students in your district.</b><span> <b> I will handle the distribution and collection of the surveys so that your workload is limited only to approval and, perhaps, assistance with sending out via your email distribution.</b><br></span></p><br>If you are interested in having a voice in this discussion
related to school mission please consider completing the anonymous surveys (at
the link .<span> </span>Depending on
the length of individual responses the survey should take between 15-30 minutes
to complete.<span> </span>All responses will remain
anonymous.<span> </span>If anyone should decide to
participate, they are free to discontinue participation at any time without
prejudice.<span> </span>Aside from the time required
to complete the survey the risks to participants are less than minimal.<br><br><p class="MsoNormal">If you have you any questions please do not hesitate to ask.<span> </span>You may email or call me or you may also
