Good morning!
As a reminder, please register for our upcoming Ohio Cyber Reserve Seminar Series beginning November 3rd and continuing each month through March 1st (full details below).  Here are a few notes associated with this activity in response to some questions we have received:

1.       All sessions are in-person at MVECA.  Drinks and snacks will be provided.

2.       The NIST data security training is valuable for your entire district team and not just your IT department.

3.       During each seminar, approximately 20 percent of the NIST Cyber Security Framework will be covered.  Attached is an additional spreadsheet outlining the content associated with each seminar date.

4.       Each seminar features "Make and Take" exercises designed to help you fully develop your plans and policies associated with data security practices.

5.       Attendees should bring their own computing devices/laptops.

6.       Additional district personnel from anywhere in Ohio are welcome to attend.  There is no cost and these seminars are being offered across the state.  Districts may wish to check with their regional ITC for more information.

MVECA is pleased to announce our collaboration with the Ohio Cyber Reserve to bring you a seminar series focusing on the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Cyber Security Framework (CSF) for school districts.  Attached you will find a full seminar description for each scheduled session.  As you know, implementation of NIST cyber security policy elements in your school district is critical part of protecting your local technology resources and data.  The Ohio Cyber Reserve seminar series is a highly successful program that trains organizations using a 'Make and Take' strategy, so School District Technology Leaders and their teams leave each seminar with actual tools that promote data security, departmental efficiency, and move towards cybersecurity compliance.
