[Mail_treas] Mercury/Vantiv Payment Systems unauthorized withdrawals from your accounts

A heads up for you to ponder.

Mercury/Vantiv Integrated Payments used to process payments for a popular
e-payment firm that many of us use for our parents to pay fees and put
lunch money on their kids accounts.   I leave that name out of this because
it is not their issue - not their fault and they have been very helpful
trying to get this resolved.

About three years ago Mercury/Vantiv lost the business of this good company
to make these transactions.

Now after three years Mercury/Vantiv have accessed our accounts to deduct
$30 monthly fees claiming they are entitled to because they never received
a cancellation of service notice from the district.  These are unauthorized
withdrawals and without prior notice.

They made one withdrawal we traced to be under the name Mercury to which we
complained and demanded repayment.  While under discussions on that they
made another withdrawal we traced to be under the name Vantiv.

I know we are not the only district Mercury/Vantiv has reached into for
cash. You might want to take a look at your accounts and contact your bank
to block their access.

I have opened a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Office at
800-282-0515, reference complaint # 864023.  Please add your voice.  I
believe Mercury/Vantiv is counting on people agreeing to let the $30/$60 go
to just get the matter resolved without embarrassment.

Mercury/Vantiv has now verbally promised to make full restitution.
