Good morning everyone,
We are attempting to gain some control over unauthorized groups using the name of our District when fund raising, without prior authorization by our District's Administration. We require that all fund raisers benefitting the District to submit a request form and gain approval prior to soliciting businesses/residents for money.
We want to begin a process where a Unique form is created and issued to groups who have been approved to raise funds. This form will show the local businesses and residents that this activity was approved and endorsed by our District. It will likely have the name of the fund raiser, the name of the group raising the money, and will be pre-numbered for easy tracking. We want to include some type of unique stamp on these, so the businesses know they are authentic and cannot be replicated by unauthorized groups.
Do any other Districts do something similar? If so, can you send me an example of the form you are using? What have been your successes and pitfalls of this practice?
Any help is always appreciated! I can share results with anyone interested.
