[Mail_treas] Mileage Reimbursement

Good Afternoon,

My superintendent has asked me to research a topic that I am unsure of how
to handle. We have a student who is on our roster but attends our local ESC
all day, as it is the student's least restrictive environment. The parents
had decided to transport the student to and from the ESC each day, but are
seeking reimbursement of mileage, which our superintendent wants to do and
has told me other district's do this as well.

I have no experience with reimbursing parents for daily transportation of
their own student and would first like to see if other districts do this?
If yes, any details on how you handle would be helpful. My understanding of
reimbursement of mileage would be for employees or vendors in which mileage
is agreed to as part of services being performed (ie. auditor mileage,
etc). This just does not seem to fit that description.
