Assistant Treasurer (part-time, as-needed)

Starting Date:                    ASAP
Reports To:                        Treasurer
Work Year:                         12-month
FTE:                                     0.55
Salary Range:                    Per adopted Administrative Salary Schedule

The Upper Scioto Valley Local School District has an opening for a part-time, as-needed Assistant Treasurer.

QUALIFICATIONS:


*        Associate degree in finance/accounting or equivalent work experience preferred

*        Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration (preferably in a school setting)

*        Experience in purchase order processing and invoicing

*        Experience with the USAS & USPS

*        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and the operation of common office equipment

*        Self-motivated and self-directed

*        Detail-oriented with effective organizational and analytical skills

*        Strong written and oral communication skills

*        Ability to collaborate with others and handle confidential matters

*        Embraces advances in technology

*        Keeps current with program, policy and procedure changes

*        Excellent human relations skills with a demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations in a professional and calm manner

*        Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet periods of peak demand

RESPONSIBLITIIES INCLUDE BY NOT LIMITED TO:


*        Maintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations

*        General office duties, including but not limited to answering phones, record keeping, and filing

*        Perform administrative functions necessary to maintain daily operations of the treasurer's office

*        Work collaboratively and effectively with other departments

*        Maintain an acceptable attendance record and be punctual

*        Actively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation and Board Policy

*        Additional duties as assigned by the Treasurer
