MEDINA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
The ESC of Medina County is assisting the Medina City School District in seeking a highly qualified educational leader as its next Superintendent. The successful candidate will replace the current Superintendent David W. Knight who is retiring. The ESC of Medina County is assisting the board with its search.
Located in Medina County in northwest Ohio, the Medina City School District is a great place to raise families, pursue greater education and career opportunities, and enjoy numerous cultural and recreational activities. Alumni are very loyal to the district and the community revolves around school activities. The picturesque city is best known for its historic small-town Victorian architecture.  Medina is a very progressive and family-oriented community.

The district serves approximately 7,000 students. Facilities within the district include seven elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Medina students excel in a variety of academic and co-curricular areas, and have achieved multiple sports championships, academic awards and a music program with a reputation for excellence.

The District encompasses 52 square miles including the City of Medina, Medina and Montville Townships and portions of LaFayette and Granger Townships.  The City of Medina is approximately 25 miles south of Cleveland and 20 miles west of Akron and is situated neat Interstate Highways I-71, I-77 and I-76.
