[Mail_treas] District "Therapy Animal"

Hello.

I have a building level administrator who wants to have our district
purchase a "therapy animal" - dog, do be utilized to de-escalate students.
While I am acutely aware of the requirements and our policy with respect to
ADA service animals with staff and students.  I am most curious if any
other districts have proceeded with this type of "unique" arrangement?
This would be a board "owned" animal.

This has "interesting" written all over it.  My first step was to examine
if this has become a "thing" out an about...

Additionally, would said animal be considered certified or classified staff
for EMIS reporting...?
