JOB POSTING

Position: Accountant

Description: The Accountant will assist the Treasurer's Office in maintaining accounting data to permit the conversion of cash basis records to financial reports conforming to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  To oversee efficient operation of payroll, conduct internal audits of various cash collection points, perform bank reconciliations, cost studies and any other procedures assigned by the Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer or his/her designee.

Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four year college or university in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university * Formal training/experience in governmental accounting and fiscal procedures preferred * Demonstrated computer proficiency including word processing, database, spreadsheet (advanced Excel), and presentation software * Alternatives to the above qualifications as Treasurer and/or Board of Education may find appropriate.

Contract:  260 day contract

Salary:  Commensurate based upon applicant experience

Start Date:  To be determined
