Effective Date for Student Wellness and Success Funds

YES!! I sent off a message to Aaron Rausch and Paolo yesterday!  We have
been encouraged since the passage of the bill to begin to spend the money
and now we are being told to wait!  We already have all of these types of
programs in place.  I now have money to cover them but am not allowed to
use the money for the full year.  That will result in carryover so I will
need to spend more money next year that I don’t need to spend.  It is just
crazy!

The effective date for Student Wellness and Success funds (permanent law
section) is October 17, 2019, which is 90 days after the HB 166 was signed.
Starting with that date (October 17, 2019), the expenses can be charged to
the Student Wellness and Success Fund. Please, note the expenditures for
the work completed prior to October 17, 2019 cannot be charged to this
funding.
