Subject: Teachers Pay Teachers

Teachers Pay Teachers is a website that connects teachers to buy and sell products to other teachers that may have similar needs.  We have not used it frequently but as awareness of their products has grown request for purchases have increased.

Our district's Curriculum director brought up some concerns she had about using district funds to purchase products from Teachers Pay Teachers.  Not all products are from accredited sources was her main concern.  A concern I had is, teachers from our district could be selling their own products through the sight as well.   What if they are selling part of unit developed for our classroom, does this create an ethical issue?

Has anyone else had any concerns raised from this source or have you addressed staff about these matters in your district.
