Katie Johnson put something on Collaborate giving the guidelines about 2 or 3 weeks ago. We are not offering it here. Our Union reps called and asked me already.

I only know what I read online yesterday.  There was an executive order to have a payroll tax holiday for social security and medicare deductions.  From what I read it is to be repaid starting in January!  I did see something about it being an employer choice to offer it or not.  There was also discussion that if it did not get paid back by the employee that the employer would be held liable!  We will not be offering this to our employees.  My feeling is that school employees were paid throughout the closures and should not need the extra $20 bucks in their check now!

Enough is enough already!  When will the legislators/leaders of the free world stop messing with the system! :(

Good afternoon,
Is anybody else getting questions about the Trump payroll tax holiday? Are you offering this to your staff members?   I was told that it's at the employer's discretion.  I know very little at this point.
