We wanted to reach out to see if any districts plan to come to MVECA Thursday for the TCC Code Application Presentation.  We wanted to make sure we are prepared if anyone would like to come in instead of joining on the zoom session.

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to add a couple of comments I missed conveying to Katie this morning.
In order to obtain a TCC Code  two district employees must register with the IRS.  The IRS will not supply the TCC code until both parties have completed the registration process.
Please note that the TCC Code will be received by your district 45 days after the application process.

The Oct 6th session will be recorded and posted on MVECA'S website for those who are not available to attend.

Each district will need a TCC Code to submit 1099's at calendar year end.  MVECA will no longer have a way to append the 1099 files to submit for you.
Mveca0 (Classic)  will not be available in December.

I have received a couple of questions concerning renewal of the TCC Code.
Please see the attached document from the IRS stating that if you applied for the TCC Code prior to September 26, 2021 you will need to complete the Information Return Application for Transmitter Control Code (IR-TCC).  This electronic application replaced FORM 4419.  Please read the attached document for complete information.

Good Afternoon All,

MVECA is coordinating with Penny Rucker and Bryan Janson from Huber Heights to host a virtual session for districts to go through the TCC Code Application as a group. Penny and Bryan have already completed their TCC Code Application, and have experience maneuvering through the FIRE website.

This presentation will take place as a Zoom event on Thursday October 6, 2022 from 9:30am -12:30 pm.

Please note: A web camera is required for part of the TCC Code Application, so applicants MUST be using a laptop or computer with a web camera.
