Subject: NOTICE: AVI Load Balancer upgrade tomorrow 11/9/2023 starting at 10:00pm

Hello, all,

I will be upgrading our VMWare/AVI Load Balancer software tomorrow night 11/9/2023 starting at 10:00pm to stay current on software versions and address security updates.
The AVI system is built on redundant nodes, and the upgrade rolls through them one-by-one, so there SHOULD be no downtime to production systems.

However, as with any complex software, there is always a possibility that things will not go as planned, hence the reason for this email announcement.
Please be aware that any brief blips or outages for MCOECN services between 10:00pm and midnight tomorrow are related to this upgrade.

I will send another notice to this group when the upgrade is complete.

For reference, the following MCOECN services COULD be affected:
-          MCOECN hosted eFinancePlus
-          MCOECN hosted SSDT USAS/USPS/Inventory/Workflows
-          HR Kiosk
-          All INFOhio services hosted at MCOECN
-          Roster Verification
-          MCOECN-specific services such as the OECN store, Cherwell, ADManage, Self-Service, Confluence/Community, SSDT Wiki, www.mcoecn.org<http://www.mcoecn.org>, ohio-k12.help, etc.

The following MCOECN services will NOT be affected as they do not rely on the AVI load balancer:

-          MCOECN Hosted Frontline/Progressbook
-          Hosted ITC infrastructure (VMs hosted by MCOECN for ITCs over VRFs)
