[Mail_treas] NEW!!!! VERY IMPORTANT DIGITAL W2'S FOR 2025

Good Afternoon,
We have been working with SSDT on a new project to provide Digital W2’s for your staff.  We have tested the software and are very pleased with the results.
Attached is a document that explains:
How MVECA will configure USPS
District can configure ESS
Employees will be notified to go into ESS to acknowledge that they want digital W2’s starting in 2025. (once they acknowledge digital W2’s  that remains in effect until they reject the acknowledgement)
This acknowledgement will be documented in USPS employee screen at the bottom of the grid.
Every employee does not have to acknowledge that they want digital W2’s.  If they prefer paper, the software has the capability to only print W2’s for those who have not accepted digital W2’s.
Once the W2 process is complete at CYE and your district runs Archive Individual W2’s, all of the W2’s will be housed in Utilities/File Archive /W2 Archive and the employee’s W2’s will be populated in ESS.
Your district has to be using ESS for this to work.
I know this is a very busy time in your district, and we were hoping to have this ready prior to your Opening Day to present to staff,
but if you are interested in moving forward with this project, we would need to know soon, by mid-September because it is time to order paper W2’s.
Employees would need a cut-off date to acknowledge digital W2’s.  On that deadline date we would turn off that option until W2’s were printed, so no one would be missed.
Once W2’s are printed we would turn the configuration back on in ESS.
