Good Morning All,
We communicated with SSDT this week regarding Overtime reporting for 2026.
They are working on creating a Blended Overtime (BOT) pay type.
Once the Blended Overtime type is available, if you are paying blended overtime rate, you will want to use that pay type.
We will let everyone know when SSDT sends the release.
SSDT is in constant communication with the IRS getting their final decisions on how Overtime will report in 2026, before they make the updates in USPS.
SSDT has said that adjustments will be available to update overtime, but we still don't know for sure what that will look like.
For now it is still ok to leave all employee's position Overtime Classification as Exempt, IF you updated your positions in this manner in January, and continue processing overtime as you have in the past.
Then at the end of 2026, the plan is to run a report like we did this year, and create an adjustment to report the .5 qualified overtime for 2026.
As soon as SSDT confirms what the plan is going to be for reporting Overtime in 2026 we will communicate this information with everyone.
Thank you for your patience.
Marcia, Ashley and Brandy
