<p class="MsoNormal">Good afternoon! We need to bid a new boiler for one of our buildings and I’m interested to know if anyone has had to do that before and if so did you have to use an engineer to spec it out prior to preparing your bid ad? Our maintenance
supv. knows the size, BTU’s etc. that is needed and can pretty much provide the specs, but in reading the bidding requirements it says “the board is required to have an architect or engineer prepare (plans, specifications, etc.),
<i>unless the board determines that other information is sufficient to inform bidders</i>. If you’ve done this, please let me know how you proceeded. Also if you have bid language you would be willing to share, that would be greatly appreciated as well.<o:p></o:p></p>
